Tesla makes the most balanced electric vehicles on the market when it comes to price and quality. The Tesla Model 3 and the Tesla Model Y are the electric vehicles we recommend the most. If you want a traditional four-door car, you can get the Model 3. If you want extra space and a hatchback, you can get the Model Y. Getting either the Tesla Model 3 or Model Y is a no brainer if you are looking for a vehicle in the $40,000 to $50,000 range (even less if you buy while there is a federal tax credit on these models, which is $7,500 until December 31, 2023 then will likely be reduced to $3,750). You save money on gas with the added convenience of being able to charge at home (and you could opt for off-peak electricity rates to save more money). As a daily driver, there is nothing that compares to the Model 3 or Model Y in the $40,000 to $50,0000 price range yet.
